Grade 7 and 8 Program

Purpose and Goals

Grade 7 and 8 students at Marymount Academy follow a rotary system, in which students are exposed to teachers who specialize in specific subject areas. Students are assigned a homeroom, and together, this group of students moves from class to class throughout the day.

Program Description

The Reach Ahead program is a wonderful opportunity for high achieving students to meet Grade 8 expectations in their Grade 7 year, or to achieve Grade 9 high school credits while in Grade 8. This successful program has allowed students to fast track or take a wider variety of courses throughout secondary school. Grade 7 and 8 students also have the opportunity to participate in activities to explore on our three SHSM programs.
